Joel Rizor, Executive Producer and President
Joel Rizor founded Screen Door Entertainment in 2001. Since that time he has overseen the production of over 500 episodes of various series, specials, broadband and VOD content. Previously, he served as a producer, director and writer for numerous series and specials for networks including ABC, NBC, A&E, Discovery, The History Channel, USA, Travel, Food, HGTV, Sci-Fi, and national syndication.

Alessandra Ascoli, Co-Executive Producer and Director of Programming
Emmy nominated producer Alessandra Ascoli joined SDE in 2001 as Supervising Producer and was promoted to her new role in March of 2003, where she developed the popular DIY series “Knitty Gritty”, which also led to the new DIY series “Stylelicious”. Previously, she has served as writer, director, and producer for a multitude of shows including “Simply Style”, “Awesome Interiors”, “Simply Quilts”, “Interior Motives with Christopher Lowell”, and “Be My Date”.

Nicole W. Block, Executive In Charge of Production
Nicole W. Block joined Screen Door Entertainment in 2003 and has since managed the production of our TV specials and Broadband webisodes, as well as over 500 episodes of TV series. She also has hundreds of hours of previous experience  in a variety of genres for networks like ABC, AMC, Animal Planet, CBS, ESPN, FOX, Speed Channel, Showtime, and TNT.

Kevin Mercier, Post Production Supervisor and Lead Editor
Kevin comes to Screen Door Entertainment with experience as an Avid Front Line Representative and ACSR. Some of the shows he has worked on include the PBS production of Ken Burns' critically acclaimed "The History of Jazz." He has been involved with all of SDE's shows since 2002.
